Scene Breakdowns

Scene breakdowns are an explainer on how a scene was lit or shot. We have a specific format for this which can be found

Each section is intended to be one paragraph, but feel free to write as little or as much as works for your project.

Title

Should be based around a specific problem, tool you used, or situation you faced, be sure to include a brief introduction

Description of the Project

What you wanted to achieve in terms of the look or style, if you want to add reference photos, 1 or 2 would be great here.

Tools

List what tools you had to work with. Doesnʼt have to be exhaustive, but just the main items used and ordered

Overall plan

How did you intend to light the scene, what was your plan going in?

Individual Lighting Setups

  • Still image of one of the completed shots, a video would also work.
  • Overhead Diagram of the setup, use Film Set Objects.
  • Specifics of what you did to light it and use the camera to make it work.
  • Any BTS Photos if applicable.

(Repeat the previous two steps for as many still images as you have, maximum of 4, minimum of 2)

Conclusion

What you learned, what worked and what didnʼt, and how you would change things for next time.
