Types of Lighting Fixtures
There are a variety of types of fixtures to choose from when designing a lighting set up for a project. There isn't one fixture that can do it all, or at least well. Each type has its strengths and when utilized for the proper job can be very quick and easy.
Color Temperature
Color temperature of a fixture is the color make up of any source of light and is quantified in measurements of degrees in kelvin (k)
- Incandescent (Tungsten) is rated at 2900k-3200k
- HMI is rated at 5200k-7000k
- Florescents: 2900k-5600k
- LED is rated at 2000k-10000k
