Depending on how the production has decided to classify you you will either be asked for an invoice or a timecard.

Calculating Overtime

Calculating overtime can be a little difficult as often times people will book you on a 10 or 12 hour day, but then when you go into overtime you need to figure out your hourly without hours of overtime confusing things with your day rate.

If your day rate is based on an 10 hour day, divide by 11 to determine your hourly rate. If it's based on a 12 hour day, divide by 14 to get your hourly rate. Then multiply by 1.5x or 2x to get your overtime rate. Hours 8-12 are 1.5x, 12-16 are 2x.

This article delves deeper into explaining this.

Invoice

For invoicing, use Tiny Invoice which is an app that can be downloaded on your phone. Try and send the invoice at the end of the day and include your W-9 with it as they will often times ask for it. The sooner you send the invoice the sooner you will get paid.

Timecard

The easiest way to fill out your timecard is to give your timecard to your camera assistant to fill out for you. If you need instruction, this video is very helpful.
