Stradling Wheel

A stradling wheel was named after the cinematographer Harry Stradling. It was placed in front of a hard light either as a cookie or to shape the light onto an actors face. This would allow him to cut light off their neck or make a slash of light across their face. Had to be used very precisely with minimal movement from the actor to work.
