A single tube holder is a piece of equipment that allows you to hold a single tube lighting fixture. It is a plate of metal with 2 T12 clips with a baby pin on the back used by the Set Lighting Department. Can hold 4' and 2' Quasar tubes and well as Astera AX-1, Titan Tubes, and Helios Tubes
Uses
Can be used to put a single tube on a stand or rigged somewhere.
Sizing
The T stands for tubular. The number following is in eighths of an inch. So T12 is a tubular holder that holds a tube 1.5" in diameter. A T8 tube is 1" in diameter.
Troubleshooting
- If the Single Tube Holder doesn't seem to be grabbing the tube very tightly, pinch inwards on the T12 clips.
- if the plate rotates freely from the weight of the tube, the baby pin needs to be tightened and loc-tite should be added.
