Sidus Link is an app built to work with Aputure lights. It creates a bluetooth mesh network to control your lighting, this means the more lighting units you have, the stronger your network will be. Because the range of Bluetooth is limited, it is best used for scenes with a lot of interior lights with line of sight. Controlling one light outside a window might be the most difficult to connect to.

Uses

Some of the uses for this app are sending dimming, CCT changes, color, and effects commands to light fixtures.

You can also update firmware to Aputure light units through bluetooth.

There is a pay to use subscription to have access to pixel mapping

Adding a Light

The Bluetooth Mesh network will choose one light to work as the master node. This light receives signal from the phone, then sends that signal out to all of the other units.

In order to have the strongest network possible, select your largest unit to act as the master node. To do this you will:

  • Go into the Scene View
  • Click the 3 dots on the right of a light
  • Select "Set as Master Node"

You will see a green M icon next to the light to show that it is set as the master node.

Troubleshooting

Sometimes a light fixture will not connect right away to the app the following are ways to troubleshoot

  • Make sure mobile device has bluetooth on.
  • Reset light fixture bluetooth connection when adding lights to app.
  • Set the closes unit to master node.
