Rosco Vapour Fogger

A fog machine is a device that emits a dense vapor that appears similar to fog or smoke. Typically, fog is created by vaporizing proprietary water and glycol-based or glycerin-based fluids or through the atomization of mineral oil. The fog juice vaporizes inside the fog machine. Upon exiting the fog machine and mixing with cooler outside air the vapor condenses, resulting in a thick visible fog.

Uses

This artificial fog is most commonly used to recreate an effect, this could be a steam vent on a street, a fire, or any other large fog or smoke effect that could be needed. This is different from a hazer as it will emit plumes of smoke instead of a steady stream of small particles.

You can also use this in conjunction with a box fan to give a similar dispersed haze effect like the DF-50.

Accessories

If you want a dispersed haze effect It can be extremely helpful to use a box fan in conjunction with the fogger. Will push the fog throughout the area and make it so you do not have to fan it with a flag.

Troubleshooting

Make sure the fog juice does not extend over the fill line.

Make sure to not tip and turn over the fogger as this will cause issues.

Substitutions

You may use the DF-50 Hazer if a lighter haze will work for the scene.
