Process trailers are trailers that hold the picture vehicle and can be towed behind either an insert car or a truck with a tow hitch.

Camera Mounting

Wire Isolation is best unless you’re ok with picture car and camera being slightly divorced. This is because the car will bounce on its suspension and the camera will be suspended at a different spring rate. You can mitigate by mounting all to the same suspension, be it the car’s, or blocking the car so it’s only riding on the trailer's suspension and then hard mounting the head sans isolator.

A gimbal will be able to keep the horizon level at all times when the street your driving on is not level. If you want to frame something slightly off level intentionally for visual reasons, you can adjust the roll level to the desired position with a quick turn of knob

Shooting Speed

Plan on things taking MUCH LONGER to shoot than anticipated, when doing process trailer work. The trailer with all the side extensions is two lanes wide. It takes quite a while to go around the block to get back to one. Its very common to begin your day with process trailer on the street, and discover you're not going to make your day. Then scrapping the trailer, parking it in base camp with green screen, while B-Camera shoots the necessary plates.

Routes

Routes should be scouted to make sure there are no unnecessarily bumpy roads.
