Power Outage/Internet Outage

If the internet goes down that will be very problamatic as everything we do requires the internet: Scanning, making quotes, answering client emails. Power outages are more of a nuisance as we have generators that can be used in place of grid power.

Power Outage Solutions

This is simply fixed by using a generator. Use the generators outside and run cable inside the building. Once the power turns back on immediately turn off the generator and switch back to grid power.

Alerts

You can get real time updates by going to the PG&E website and signing up for them. They do not recognize our address, so you may need to type in the nearest cross street, which is 10th and Harrison.

Internet Outage Solutions

Personal Hotspot

First, check to see if your device will allow this option. If it will then it is a simple task to connect the shop computer and the scanning gun to the internet signal from your phone.

You will be compensated for the use of your phone as a personal hotspot. $20 a day

Starbucks Internet

Take the iPad and iPhone with you and make sure you bring the charger. This will at least allow you to adjust and make orders while things are down.
