- Power and patch Airport Basestation
Make sure to hardwire Airport Basestation to the Nomad laptop.
- Connect iPad to wireless network
Settings>Wi-Fi>BoltControlNetwork
- Look in lastpass for password
- make sure the ip address and subnet mask is correct.
to understand what ip address and subnet mask you need set as follow these instructions
- settings>network and internet> change adapter options>
- right click on ethernet icon > properties > select Internet protocol version 4 > properties.
Note the last octet of the ip address should be unique to the device only. match everything else. match subnet mask.
For trouble shooting with nomad, you can check the network settings in nomad.
- open nomad
- exit to the shell (start menu)
- select settings > network. here you'll want to make sure the ip address and subnet mask are the same with the last octet in the ip address is unque to the laptop itself.
NOTE: make sure in the network settings in the shell that the "Wifi Remote" button is checked. this will allow you to control nomad via an ipad on the closed network that we just set up.
- Start OSC RFR App
Click the blue cube with the blue background icon in the Dock of the iPad
