A 4 1/2in grip head, similar to a gobo head, but with a junior pin instead. This is used to hold flags or overheads.
Center Lollipop
There is also a center lollipop that puts the weight directly over the center of a stand. This is oftentimes used for menace arms and other rigging applications where weight is an issue. This would be used interchangeably with the regular lollipop.
Uses
- Can be used to grab a pin from a flag or open frame. Also used to grab ears of overhead frames.
- Can be placed into a Junior Stand to convert the stand into a Grip Combo Stand.
- Can be placed into a Grid Clamp (Junior Cheeseboro)
Troubleshooting
If the lollipop does not grab as tightly, check that there is a slip disc. It may need to be replaced.
Set screws on Junior pin can become loose and may need to be tightened over time.
