Liftgate operation
A liftgate is an articulating hydraulic platform on the back of the truck that raises and lowers from the floor of the truck to the ground. Usually, the grip truck driver is designated as the gate operator. People use this to get gear off the truck.
If the truck is on a hill you may need multiple people to unload a single cart.
Very important to never jump off a liftgate. This is a very easy way to end up hurting yourself.

- Turn on Liftgate
All Trucks need to be on while operating the gate. Liftgate Button is on the left of the steering wheel.
- Say "Gate down!" and lower gate.
Make sure there's no obstructions below the liftgate as you're lowering it. Make sure people inside know that there is no liftgate and that you are going down by calling out NO GATE and hear a response.
- Once the gate lowers to the ground, open the doors.
Latch both the doors so they are locked open.
- Use the Pickle (Handheld liftgate control) to get the carts on and off.
Call off "Gate up" and "Gate Down" when going up or down on the liftgate. Call "Tilting" when you are tilting the liftgate, this can be controlled using the middle button and the up or down button. The cart should have the brake on and you should have at least one hand on it.
