Items to be Picked After Hours

Sometimes there will be items that are going to be returned that night. If the client is a gaffer that we know, we may ask them to pick that item before heading to set the next day. This is especially the case if the Gaffer of either job is Matt Stouppe.

As the shop tech you'll see that there is an item on the picklist you cannot pick.

  • Confirm with Rentals Manager this item will be picked after hours.
  • Continue picking everything, leaving this item as blank and do not throw away this page.
  • When you apply all quantity items, go into Staging and Unstage items remaining to be picked.

You'll need to know what items are quantity vs. tracked by RFID, as you will only be unstaging the quantity items. To find this:

  • Go to Warehouse > Rental Inventory in Rentalworks.
  • For Completes: Click the Complete Tab, Otherwise you can just look in the main rental inventory scroller on the far right "Tracked By" field to see how it is tracked.

From here the Rentals Manager will:

  • First confirm with both gaffers that this will be okay and they will be fine doing this.
  • Create a card in the Subrentals/Crossloads area of Trello and include all of the items that will require crossloading
  • Make the pick list again, make sure to include "Items on other pick lists" and "Items not yet Staged"
  • Send Email to Gaffer of Job 1 asking them to pull items on picklist off and put them in Shed 4. Include Picklist in your email.
  • Send Email to Gaffer of Job 2 asking them to pick items from picklist from Shed 4. Include Picklist in your email.
