How to Change Combo Locks

We change the combo codes every month to reduce the number of people that have access to our yard and our trucks.

Updating Codes

When changing locks only change the following:

• Gate

Key Canisters for:

• 1 Ton
• 3 Ton
• 3500 Sprinter
• 2500 Sprinter

Do not change the shed codes, these will always stay the same.

• Lubricate all locks including locks for sheds

This is on Aisle 10 Shelf O. Its called 3 in 1 lock dry lube.

• Update LastPass as you go. Do not write the codes anywhere else.

Go to the right of the search bar and find the red square with three dots. This is the last pass shortcut. Search for Shop Combo Codes and update that secured note. You will move the previous codes to the Previous Codes section to keep notes of those for the macro.

• Once you have completed that, run the Change Locks macro by clicking Command + Shift + P

Click the Change Locks Macro. This will go into CineRentalManager > Settings > Messages and it will change all of the pre-formed messages with the appropriate locks.

• Fill in the appropriate information and click Continue

This will change CineRentalManager for you in all of the appropriate places.

• Update any current clients with orders out

If they currently have the code to something, they will need to be updated with new codes. Look in order location schedule in rentalworks within the current dates, from there you can use CineRentalManager to send an email by clicking the mail icon. Click the template icon in spark and use the Combo Change template and insert the new codes.

You should also send a text message to any crew members to let them know the codes have changed and the new codes are in their email.

Truck Key Cans

Open the can using the current combo in LastPass.

On the bottom side of the lock is a set screw. ¼ turn the screw to the left.

You can now set the lock to the 4 letter combo of choice, turn the set screw back to the right once done.

Masterlock Key Box (Front Gate)

Set the number code on the lockbox to the combo code in lastpass.

Open the box. Open the window and shift the metal latch next to the "reset" label. Set the new generated code. move the metal latch back to its original position. BEFORE CLOSING THE WINDOW, Shuffle the number code and then re-enter the code to make sure the new code works.

Close the box.

Masterlock Combo Locks

You should not have to change the combos to these locks unless specifically asked to.

In the safe in the warehouse is a key labeled Masterlock Key.

Take that key and the lock you want to change, make sure the lock is set to the current combo.

Put the key in the side of the lock. Turn it then set the new combination you want to change the lock to.

Turn the key back and you’re done.

Lubrication

Once a month while changing the lock codes you will need to take the 3 in 1 lock lubricant and lubricate all the locks.
