Grip Clips

Metal spring-loaded clamps that come in 3 different sizes. Grip Clips usually come with rubber protectors, but we remove these to help standardize the gear as they usually fall off and are of little value to the work we do with them. When they refer to a 2" grip clip, it's the max opening of the clip portion. We prefer the pony brand of grip clip.
Do not use grip clips on top of electrical cables as the jaw can slice the insulation exposing the energized copper inside the cable. This will energize the grip clip and whatever metal surface the grip clip is touching, like speed rail. Using rope or threading the cable through the top of the grip clip is preferred when rigging cable.
- #1 Grip Clip is the smallest size, also known as 1" Grip Clip

- #3 Grip Clip is the largest size, also known as 3" Grip Clip
