General Wiki-Formatting Guidelines
To try and make this wiki as cohesive as possible, we'd like to conform to a few formatting guidelines.
Organization
Always avoid using the words "How to", since every article is how to do something, it is unnecessary.
For Headlines, use this format:
example
For any instructions, do not use numbers, only use bullet point lists with bold text and keep them succinct. To make a bullet pointed list, use the following format:
* List 1 * List 2 * List 3
Use categories every time! For a list of all categories look at the front page of the wiki. To assign a category you just need to use:

This should be at the top of the page. Make sure you type in the category exactly as it is elsewhere, as it is case sensitive. Once you do this it will show up on that category page. You can also assign multiple categories to one post.
The heading below "Example Formatting" shows you what this would look like. You can also make subheadings and sub sub headings by adding more = signs, so two == on either side of a word would make it be a subheading, for the next step down use 3 ===.
For page titles, if there is software involved, use Software Title:Function.
Adding Pictures
All pictures should be formatted using the following:

You can vary between 200-400px for the thumbnail size, or you can put the thumbnail on the left or right side.

Sub-Sub-Heading
This is an example of
sub-sub-heading
- List 1
- List 2
- List 3
- List 4
This is an example of the bullet-pointed list.
Categories
If you'd like to create a new category, you just have to use the category tag in your article. The new category will be added automatically. Use this formatting, be aware categories are case sensitive!

If you want to use the same category as another page, be sure to check that you match the categories exactly. If they are red, that means a category does not exist for that yet.
If you would like to add the category to the front page, use this formatting:
:Category:Rentals Manager
If you create a link to a category page, you will most likely see that it pops up red and not blue. To resolve this you need to:
- Create the category page itself
You can just click the red link and it will take you directly to the edit screen. Type in what you want to say on the category page and save it.
- Re-Edit the Main Page where you posted the category link.
You will need to refresh this page to get rid of the red text, just click the edit button, then click save.
- Check the link turned blue!
If it doesn't, make sure your category page saved and that the spelling is correct.
