Final truck Checklist
This idea was an attempt to fix some issues we had noticed time and time again. It was a laminated checklist that was velcroed to each job order and then was expected to be filled out by the shop tech when they completed an order with a truck on it.
We finally decided this idea was dead around June of 2019.
Issues
The main issue was that it was not being completed. Ryan tried the process and found that it made it too disjointed and that controls elsewhere could rectify the issue faster which might encourage employees to do it more. Just an example is checking insurance and registration is current, something that does not need to be done every single time, just once a year. Where as all of the other steps could just be done once at the end of the day instead of individually with each truck.
There is not currently a solution to fixing these issues, but we'll think of something soon.
