Filing a Statement of Information

California requires businesses to have a public record of how they can be contacted. It's called a statement of information and can be filed with the secretary of state. It must be filed once every year and a small fee is required. It is not a very complicated document to file because most of the time nothing changes on it and it just has to be re-filed.

To file the statement of information, go to

Secretary of State Business Filing

• Login in the top right corner

• Go to My Records on the left sidebar

• Click our Business Name "Bolt Lighting Rental"

• Click File Statement of Information

Continue clicking next and filling in the fields as necessary. Do not select to receive a certified copy.

• Click File online and Pay with Credit Card

• Take a screenshot of the following screen for proof of payment

• Post in slack and save to google drive.
