Fiber Glass Ladder Maintenance
Fiber glass ladders are composed of resin and fiberglass. They do not conduct electricity and are relatively lightweight.
Make sure to wear the specified half-mask respirator and safety gloves and goggles while applying and lacquering. The spray is filled with resin and resin is harmful to be exposed to in long durations.
Process
Ladders stored out-of-doors for extended periods of time can have the effect of weathering decreased by semi-annual waxing of the rails.

RECOMMENDED METHOD OF PREPARATION
1. Sand the rails of the ladder smooth with a nonmetallic abrasive such as 3M™ Scotchbrite® or softback sanding sponge. Do not use ordinary sandpaper or emery cloth as it will leave a trace of abrasive grit embedded in the rail surface and may cause the surface to be an electrical conductor. No need to remove labels on ladder.
2. Wash the entire rail surface clean with denatured alcohol or an equivalent acceptable for health reasons and allow to air dry. Wash down a second time to ensure that no residue is left on the surface of the ladder.
3. Use Fiberglass protective coating and apply 3-4 coats.
