Editing IMDb

To add items to your IMDb account, go to https://www.imdb.com/

• Search for the movie or TV Show you want to add yourself to.

• Scroll down, click on All Cast and Crew

• Scroll to the bottom of the page, click Edit Page

• Sign in using your preferred method.

• Find the department you want to change, click the dropdown menu and select Add 1 Credit

• Scroll down, Click Continue

• Type in your name and make sure you select the correct person

• Leave attribute empty unless you'd like to put something there. Usually its something like 2nd Unit or Underwater Unit, etc.

• Select your position.

• Click Check these updates

• Click next and you're done.

Name Correction

Where your credits stack up on IMDb is determined by how you spell your name for Credits. You could have multiple pages with different credits on it depending on how the one who imputed your name is spelled. for example. "Matthew Stouppe", "Matt Stouppe", or "Matthew P. Stouppe" will have seperate IMDb pages with credits that are associated with how the credit was implimented into the database usually by a producer. it is important to make sure that all your credits are on a single IMDb page, especially when your sending a potential client with a job offer your applying for.

• Log into IMDb
• Find Project that needs Name Correction
• Select 'All Cast and Crew'
• Click Edit Button

On the top right of the Full Cast & Crew page there is an edit button.

• Find the department category

On the far right is a drop down menu. For the category select 'Correct/Delete'

• Press Continue

At the bottom of the list is a button labeled Continue.

• Find your name in the list

To the left of your name is an Action coulum. Select Correct in the drop down menu next to your name in the action coulum.

• Correct the spelling of your name

When you begin to correct the spelling of your name, the website will suggest linked pages with the same name, choose the correct one you want.

• Press Check these updates button

at the bottom of the list.

• Add an explenation to why your changing credit name

This can be simple and say, 'proper spelling of my name for credits on IMDb'

• Submit These Updates button

Press this button on the bottom of the list.

• Check in on changes made

It will take a few days to see the changes happen as IMDb needs to verify the changes made are accurate.
