Disposing Excess Garbage
When there is a build-up of garbage that will take up more than the majority of our garbage can, we will dispose of it at the Berkeley Transfer Station or the Berkeley Recycling Center
Gather Garbage
A cart should be full of garbage before going to dispose of it. Check the Berkeley Transfer Station website to check what can and cannot go to waste.
- Look Around Shop
Check the red tag shelf for any items that were stored there to get rid of. Gather and place them in a cart.
- Look Outside of Shop
Check outside workspaces for any garbage that needs to get disposed of. Gather and place them in a cart.
- Check with other Tenants
They may have items that need to go to the dump as well and this can help us offset our cost or reduce clutter in the warehouse.
- Load into vehicle
Make sure items are properly bagged and will not spill.
Transfer Station
This is what we would refer to as the dump. Its usually best to go between 10am - 12pm. There should be a 2-hour gap of time for this.
Recyling Center
Check their website to see what can be dropped off:
This run usually will take about 20 minutes. Sometimes there may be traffic of people going to the transfer station, but once inside it is usually very quick to dump your recycling.
