Cintenna 2

The Ratpac Cintenna is a device that can trasmit DMX signals wirelessly. You can set Cintenna 2's to either be a receiver or a transmitter that uses CRMX technology. A Cintenna in transmitter mode can communicate with built in CRMX receivers. You can control fixtures without built in CRMX receiver by putting a cintenna2 receiver into the DMX port.

These units come with a 12-hour lithium-ion rechargeable battery that fully charges in 2 hours via USB-C.

Uses

The common use for Cintennas is to use them for the floor units, while everything that is rigged above is hard-wired with DMX cable. The issue with using Cintennas is you must keep them all in one universe, so you have a limited number of fixtures that you can use wirelessly.

Troubleshooting

If you are having issues getting it to link, bring the receiver as close as possible to the transmitter.

Cintennas require line of sight for good transmission. It is often times a good idea to raise the transmitter above everyone so the signal does not have to travel through bodies.

If issues persist, try unlinking the transmitter and relinking.

Check to see if the battery is dead, if it is swap it for a fresh unit.

If you are having issues with the range of the Cintenna you can extend the transmitter with DMX cable to bring it closer to the lights.

If you're having issues with the Cintenna try replacing it with a hardline DMX cable, this will usually be the simplest solution.
