Mitchell Cheese Plate

A cheese plate is an aluminum plate with 3/8" holes drilled out to hold different grip items. These holes can be threaded, countersunk, or just bare.

Uses

A hostess tray utilizes cheese plates as part of its method for rigging onto the side door of a car.

Some plates have Mitchell mounts on them already for mounting a tripod head.

Cheese plates are generally used to rig a camera into a hard to reach space, but can also be used for rigging any sort of lighting or camera device as well.

Accessories

  • Bolt Kit - This will need this to allow you to attach different items to the cheese plate.
  • Cheseborough to 3/8" - Allows you to attach the cheese plate to speed rail.
  • Tilt Plate - Like the 90-degree plate but gives you adjustability over the tilt.
  • 4-way Leveling Head - A head that allows you to finely adjust camera position and place the camera directly onto it.
  • Ball Adapters - Can adapt a Mitchell cheese plate to 100mm ball or other sizes. You can also put it directly onto a cheese plate to mount a tripod head.
