Checking Soft Goods
If you are only checking 6x6 soft goods this can be done at the liftgate during check-in. The process below applies to all other sizes.
- Lower Pipe
Use the speed rail that runs down the center of the shop. Lower it down to the appropriate level marked out on the rope. For 6x and 8x you can look at them without adjusting the height.
- Match the Bag to the Rag
Take the rag out of the bag and check to make sure the bag label matches the rag.
- Put the Rag over the Rail
Throw the rag over the speed rail and spread it out.
- Visually inspect the rag for any rips, holes, or damage of any kind.
It is helpful to walk down the inside of the rag if it is something opaque. If damage is found, take photos and put them in the activity app. Use color-coded zip ties to mark where damage has occurred and has been logged.
- Check all Ties on Grommets
If they are missing, replace them. Corners do not need ties.
- Fold the soft good and put it away.

When folding soft goods, fold them so the seams or the black side are on the outside.
- Seal with Red Tape
Once completed, seal the bag with red tape so we know that it has been checked.
Painters Fold
The painters fold is done so that larger rags can be folded and unfolded only using 2 people, while at the same time keeping the rag from touching the ground.
