Block Shooting

Block shooting is when you shoot multiple scenes at once. While this does go against the ethos of one piece flow, sometimes it is necessary because of external factors. Daytime exteriors could be one instance where you have to shoot all one direction in the morning and all one direction later in the day. This can also be done if you are shooting a number of scenes in the same location in one day.
While it may be more efficient at times, it can be tough on the actors and crew as it may be confusing to get into the rhythm of each scene and remember eye-lines.
