Beefy Baby Stand

The beefy baby stand is a very common light stand that you will see on an order. We only carry American baby stands with 3 risers, but there are lots of other manufacturers and types. Beefy baby is a trademarked Matthews term.
Uses
- A baby stand is used to hold up a light that uses the baby receiver. It has a 5/8" pin on the top and when a light is put on it correctly, the pin will not stick up past the bale. The stand also has one Rocky Mountain leg, which you can use to level the stand when on a slope.
- There are two different types that we carry, aluminum and steel. Some people prefer to just use only steel stands so they can always be ready to put a heavier light on it and use all 3 risers, but others don't like to deal with the weight of the steel stand and will prefer aluminum.
- You can tell the difference between aluminum and steel by looking at the risers. Aluminum will be a darker grey while steel will be chrome plated.
- Steel baby stands can be used as mini grip combo stands by adding a gobo head to it. This can be very helpful when space is an issue. Would not recommend setting up an overhead like this, but 4by frames and bounces, it can be very handy and lightweight and space-saving in certain situations.

Troubleshooting
Risers can end up bent. You can buy replacement risers by scanning the QR Code for risers in the repair area. Once received we can install them in-house.
For rust, you can use car wax and a stainless steel wool pad to gently scrape it off.
